Be it a Rs. 5 ice lolly or a scoop of premium gelato, the pure joy of digging into a delicious ice cream cannot be taken away, even from an adult! There are some who would love to have a cone topped with scoops and scoops of ice cream on a hot summer day and then there are some(like me) who would devour scoop-fulls of ice cream even on chilly winter days.
And that’s what I actually did last weekend, when I finally visited the much talked about, swiss-brand ice cream parlour, Movenpick.
Here to satiate our cravings for some instagram-worthy desserts and ice creams, Movenpick has it’s outlets in DLF Mall of India, Saket and now in GK as well.
Equipped with a wide selection of ice creams, waffles, pancakes, shakes and other beverages, Movenpick is all set, to ensure that no palate goes unsatisfied.
For those who are calorie conscious, dig into their palette of sorbets, that consists of scoops of three different sorbets, topped with fresh seasonal fruit and mint leaf. And for those who don’t wish to go overboard with ice creams, their waffles and pancakes can be the perfect alternative. Unfortunately, on the day of my visit the waffle machine decided to give up, but fortunately, that was made up for with some delicious swiss chocolate pancakes and strawberry pancakes. Warm and fluffy, served with two scoops of ice cream, these are sure to impress any pancake lover.
From their signature dessert plates, I might not go in for the chocolate brownie with ice cream(simply because there are better options), I would certainly recommend the macaron selection, that is served with whipped cream.
Leaving everything aside from the menu, the Ice Coffee Classic was without doubt the undisputed winner dish of the day. Espresso croquant ice cream with crunch of hazelnuts, topped with whipped cream and garnished with wafer, this is the dessert that I would force me to visit Movenpick very soon!
Confession: My first visit and experience at Movenpick ice has made it my go-to place for when I crave for some delicious ice creams and desserts. Have heard a lot about their chocolate fondant and waffles, and hence, along with the ice coffee classic, I would look out for these too.
