Whether you’re in search of a casual diner, where you want to catch up with a few friends over drinks and hookah or if you wish to unwind a hectic day at office with some wholesome and delicious food, Elation might just turn out to be a great option.
Done up in hues of yellow and brown, Elation in Greater Kailash-1, is marked by a well stocked bar, that is all set to offer some commendable concoctions, along with a beautiful balcony and terrace seating, which enables one to view of the entire M- Block market.
Along with the typical cafe-style continental and Italian dishes, the menu also offers some praise-worthy North Indian dishes, thereby, ensuring that no palate goes unsatisfied.
On recommendation, I started my meal with their chilli garlic fish, that was fried and then tossed in a spicy sauce along with bits of garlic, onions and bell peppers. Paired it with a glass of refreshing mojito, and I was set to move towards the drool-inducing pepperoni pizza, that was generously topped with cheese. The size of the pizza might not do justice to the price, but the flavours will certainly make upto it. Due to lack of flavours and dryness, the spaghetti aglio-e-olio turned out to be a dampener in the overall experience. But then came the Indian main course to compensate my not-so-great experience with the pasta. While the paneer methi malai is perfect for those who don’t like a lot of spice in their food, the humble dal makhni and butter chicken were devoured on sight with some hot breads.
While the desserts menu is yet to get finalised, the chef was kind enough to offer a portion of fried ice cream, that had a crispy layer of corn flakes over a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Not to forget, their shakes deserve appreciation, and the chocolaty brownie shake is a must have!
Confession: Overall, my experience at Elation certainly left me elated. I’d look forward to the desserts menu the next time I visit, and will order the butter chicken and brownie shake for sure.
