Hunger. It does not see the time, is unpredictable and can easily get the better of you. But don’t let it get on you, instead, choose to defeat it in the best way possible. Get prepared to fly away those hunger pangs with the newly introduced menu at TGIF, that is replete with exciting options to choose from.
The chicken wings have always been a go-to when visiting TGIF, and that love sees no signs of stopping, thanks to the newly launched kung pao and spicy bloody mary chicken wings. Deep fried and succulent, slathered in sauce, these chicken wings with a glass of chilled beer will make up for a mundane day at office. Speaking of snacking, the bite sized tostadas or nachos cannot be left behind. The glazed pork belly tostadas consist of crunchy nacho base, loaded with cheese and topped with a chunk of juicy and sticky pork that you just wouldn’t want to let go of.
The parmesan crusted chicken with creamy fettuccine and salad would make a great main. Though the unevenly chopped vegetables in the salad are something that can be worked upon, the chicken is perfectly cooked and pairs well with the creamy fettuccine pasta. But if you’re looking for a real main course, then look no further than the Hangover Burger. This monster burger compromises of a juicy lamb patty that is topped with tomatoes, onions, lettuce, caramelised onions, American cheese, roasted garlic aioli, pepper bacon and a fried egg. It comes along with fried and a warm apple butter barbecue sauce and is a fulfilling meal by itself.
The Belgian chocolate shake and strawberry cheesecake shakes were my favourites at TGIF, but unfortunately, they’re no longer a part of the menu. These have been replaced by the dessert-in-a-glass freakshakes, that would need to be shared amongst at least two people to finish. The chocoholic in me opted for the whole lotta chocolate franken shake, that comprised of a beautiful thick chocolate milkshake that was generously topped with whipped cream, Hershey’s kisses, chocolate brownie, TGIF’s special chocolate brownie, a glazed doughnut and more chocolate sauce. Everything delicious in a glass, this shake has taken the regular Belgian chocolate shake to a whole new level, so much so, that I don’t miss it as not being a part of the menu!
